Design concepts, the term might feel new to some designers, right? These design concepts will drastically improve any website’s user experience for the intended users if we can follow and implement them while designing.

A question might hit you at one point of time that, how are some websites are well designed ticking all the boxes like aesthetics, ease to use, clear call to action and simple but effective. How on earth a designer can design websites with such details.

There is a profound rationale behind these design concepts. We shall learn about these 7 design concepts which we can use in real projects from the below-portrayed content.

The concepts are:

  1. Focus: The user will focus on important elements.

The above design layout depicts the focused areas in a primary colour(blue) besides other important elements such as a call to action, card details and headings. The remaining elements have their importance but as a user, the focus will point towards the focused elements provided.

2. Reliable: Users will trust or judge a website or an online application by three things such as UI consistency and UX copy, and high-quality images.

Myntra is following consistent placement of shopping carts. We usually look in the upper right corner to check out what we are about to buy, right? If you were creating the user interface for an e-commerce site, such as the one shown above on Myntra.com, you might want to think about putting your shopping cart in a similar position.

3. Minimal: It intends to keep information minimal in order to decrease user cognitive load.

Google.com

The best example of minimal design is Google. Despite the fact that they have several brands such as Google phone, Chrome, Google Cloud, Google Maps, and Google Photo, however, they only show one feature at a time.

4. Fun: It intends to keep the information and visuals interesting for the user.

Our Work, About Us and Get involved are perfect positions.
